Friends with Benefits Indeed!

Admittedly, I came late to the JT bandwagon. When one of my close girlfriends was obsessed with the "Justified" album, I pooh-poohed her, but after "SexyBack"I had to give it to her. Justin Timberlake does consistently bring sexy back, and always in surprising ways. Just when I thought he was just another boy band has-been, he turned out some great music on his own, continued to excel with his Michael Jackson moves, and then showed he could make fun of himself on SNL. Recently, he has been turning up in movies and proving himself as an actor. I liked him in "The Social Network." So in honor of his upcoming romcom that I certainly want to see, I'm posting him here. Justin, you can be my friend with benefits anytime!

Shameless Post

Sometimes when times are tough, I like to turn to old stand-bys who always have something for a dejected IMS president. Hugh Jackman is just such a man. He is a gentleman and good dancer and is very good at combining shirtlessness with water as pictured above. Good stuff!

I was trying to find new shirtlessness from Daniel Craig, but alas he seems to keep his shirt on for his new film "Cowboys v. Aliens" (note to Jon Favreau, always make Daniel Craig take his shirt off). Congratulations to him and his new bride, Rachel Weisz, not only on their marriage but on keeping it a secret from the media! Fit and clever!

In the midst of a heat wave, I'm surprised by how little shirtlessness I have seen of late. What is going on? Perhaps post-Congressional scandals, people have decided to show a little bit more discretion. In loving memory

I lost a dear friend and mentor this week, and in his honor, I post this video. He supported so many people in the theater with his love, humor, and constant presence. I miss you already, Tony.

Indians for Male Shirtlessness

While I have been rather despondent on the shirtless front for the past month, it hasn't stopped people reporting to me on some excellent shirtlessness happening around the world. This Korean star, Rain, has been generating quite a bit of excitement, and recently I have received many reports on his wondrous shirtlessness. He certainly has more ab muscles than I thought humanly possible. I feel that Rain may just wash my despondence away!

While all the negative shirtless publicity has been a real downer, I have started to remember the joy that good male shirtlessness, when used properly, can bring. As of late, times have been a bit tough, but good male shirtlessness has been one of the few things that is helping me through. Renewing the Hope

Gentle readers, I must apologize for my extended absence from this blog as well as for the lack of a photo in today's entry. The last month has been a difficult one for the cause as male shirtlessness became a tawdry headline instead of a force for good in the world. Honestly, I have needed the last month to recover from the shock of it. After working so hard for good male shirtlessness for the past 3 years, it was a great blow to see the cause co-opted for less than honorable uses. I won't name names, but I must strongly state that members of Congress should think twice about their shirtlessness and its use in the future.

In any case, I think I have recovered and will return to my twice weekly schedule for the rest of the summer. Surely there must be some good shirtlessness out there to lift my spirits and yours. Until then, I am...

From Paris With Love

This video was recently brought to my attention as a great item for the blog. Indeed it combines two of my very favorite things, shirtlessness and Paris! I like that Abercrombie continues to be the go-to store for good male shirtlessness. I am less excited about their padded bikinis for 7 year olds. But watching this video, I felt happy that good male shirtlessness is spreading all over the world. I'm hoping next for diverse male shirtlessness to take over. Let's face it, there are more shades than black and white, and all are beautiful.

I did catch the last hour of DH last night and was delighted to see Jason George make a cameo. If only he had taken his shirt off! I have missed almost the entire second half of the season while in Alabama but was glad to pick up where I left off. Does anyone else think that Gabby's coffee table looks very much like a box that held a body from season 1?

As my time in Alabama comes to a close, I am getting excited for summer in New York City where I hope there will be lots of good male shirtlessness all over the place: running in the park, washing the windows, carrying my groceries. Shirtless from Washington

Last week I read an article on the Navy Seals which featured this photo, and I knew I had to post it. This man appears to be Superman. And given recent news, clearly the men of the Navy Seals are excellent candidates for IMS. So thank you for protecting the country while demonstrating amazing shirtlessness!

In other IMS news, Republican congressman, Aaron Schock, has decided to bare his chest in an effort to curb obesity with a fitness campaign. I wonder if this can be considered bipartisanship since Michelle Obama has her own anti-obesity campaign called "Let's Move." I won't hold my breath for any reaching across the aisle, but I am glad to see that both parties are addressing this epidemic. Congressman Schock's Men's Health cover is not yet available to post, but I will give him props for using his excellent shirtlessness for good and not evil. Washington DC is not typically what I would consider a source for good shirtlessness, but I'm happy to be surprised on this front.
